We made it through the SDA appt. We walked to the building which is right next to St Andrews cathedral. We walked in the side door and stood on the stairs until they invited us in for the appt. We met with the Psychologist named Masha and she was awesome. She smiled the whole time. They let Tyler go in as our interpretor even though Oksana and Kostya were there. It went really well. They have a new law that may slow us down a day or two. They have to send us with a referral for Alina and Oleg first and then we have to come back and get another referral for Vitaly after that and then go back to Dnepro. We talked and talked but they wouldn't budge on this new law. Evidently there was a family who got referrals for a few kids at the same orphanage and then went and got their hopes up and then didn't adopt all the kids they had been given referrals on. We tried to explain that we were sure about all 3 of our kids but they wouldn't budge. When we got back to the facilitators they all started speaking Ukrainian really fast and it was a heated debate on what could be done. Every facilitator in the place joined in and complained about the new law they hadn't heard before. So now they want us to do 2 separate deals. We still get to see Vitaly with the other kids on Thursday morning and Oksana says that we won't really have to come back to Kiev etc. so we are not worried. Everything is going great. We tried to get the same day referral letter but she told us that since they were closed yesterday for the holiday that they had back to back appointments today instead of the typical afternoon to do paperwork. We are stuck here until 4 or 5 tomorrow and so we bought night train tickets for Dnepro on Wed night. Dave and Tyler went and got Ballet tickets for tonight. I think we are sitting right in the front for only 12 dollars each.
I am going to try to post more pictures today. I don't know what I am doing in that department but hopefully you will see some cool Ukrainian sites. Sorry if they are turned sideways. Andreas I need your brain for a minute to figure out how to turn those silly pictures.
Ukrainian word for the day: Grivnya Urainian money Pronounced Grieve na.
