Day Day 2 at Dnepro

We had a great day today. We went to the orphanage at 1 pm and the kids started coming home from school soon after. That is when we got to see Andre. What a sweetheart he is. He really wants to come to America. I showed him your family picture Sonya and said your names and he smilled and smiled . I hope that is OK. Oksana said that it is good to get him thinking about his new family. Igor is also adorable. You are going to have a great time with them.
We talked to Christina too for the Loves. She wants to go to America and is a sweet girl She is in Alina's group. She knew that she was not going to the family who hosted her and was happy to see your family picture that is in the hosting thing that Save a child gave us. She was very easy to talk to and so please send us some more specific questions to ask her and we can get some good information for you.
Anya is gone for the weekend to the family that is wanting to take Ruslana. I found out that the reason that they can do the separation is because she is 14 and at that age they can make the choice to be separated. I asked Alina if Anya wanted to come to America and she said that Anya didnt know and so that is getting better than a no. I think we can talk to her about the idea if you want us to. We will be able to talk to both of them on Monday.
The Horans mentioned the 2 children that I don't know. Are they Allexi's little siblings that weren't hosted? If they are here, we can find them. I am surprised how few children are here because when we call on the phone it sure sounds like there are 1000 children here. They had an assembly today and it was really cool. A Christian group from the US were here and did a very religious show fo r the whole orphanage. I was a little sad that we don't allow these kinds of shows in the schools and orphanges in the US. Kind of weird that a recently post soviet country can allow it and we can't in America where we are free.
We also went and got ice cream and had fun with the kids and their friends. Vitaly is really acting warmly towards us and of course so is Oleg. Alina is still shy but still ready to go home with us and so all is great here.
We found a really good grocery store which is right by our apt. It is called ATB and has a lot of food at a better price than home and even egg cartons with the eggs and so that is good news. It is really beautiful and green here with flowers blooming everywhere. My allergies must be turned off here because nothing is making me sneeze.
All is really well
Christy
